The XLE AWD configuration with the 95.8 kWh battery offers the maximum estimated range of 511 kilometres. It could be more appealing to families that regularly take long trips or want to reduce the number of charging stops while travelling.

The XLE Premium and Limited versions offer an estimated range of 473 kilometres while adding comfort and technology features. The choice will therefore depend not only on maximum range, but also on the drivetrain, seating capacity, and desired equipment level.

Charging for Daily Driving and Long Trips

The 2027 Toyota Highlander will come standard with a NACS port compatible with thousands of Level 3 fast-charging stations across North America.

Under ideal conditions, the battery will be able to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes at a DC fast-charging station. The vehicle will also support Level 1 and Level 2 charging. A dual-voltage 120- and 240-volt charging cable will be included, along with an 11 kW onboard charger.

At home, a Level 2 charging station will generally allow you to plug in the vehicle in the evening and leave with a recharged battery the following morning. On the road, fast charging can be incorporated into a stop for a meal, a short break, or some shopping.
